I have no idea why I feel the need to watch the LOTR films whenever they're on TV over the holidays. It's not like I don't own them on DVD. Deluxe box sets, even. I have to admit that almost nothing can give me that sinking hollow feeling in my stomach faster than the first sign of car trouble. My usual reaction is "Crap, Darn, Blast," followed shortly by "I really need to see about dating a mechanic."

I refuse to read his books and have been known to pass on Girls' Nights that include trips to the theatre to see his movies. So this is awesome.
